Aloha heißt das Muster von Suzanne Fluhr, das der Diva Challenge von dieser Woche den Namen gegeben hat. Es sprach mich gleich an. Ich mag gerne florale, fließende Motive.
Aloha ist the name of the Diva Challenge this week and also the name of the pattern in the center of it. Both made by Suzanne Fluhr. Immediately it did appeal to me. I like floral flowing motifs.
Beim Üben des Musters war es eindeutig ein nach oben wachsender Zweig, den ich da zeichnete. Und ich musste an eine Reise nach Indonesien denken, die schon über 20 Jahre zurück liegt.
Dann, als die Kachel fertig war, habe ich sie doch mal gedreht. Und so gefiel sie mir noch besser. Und die Erinnerung an die Reise blieb, wo ich einmal einen Vogel gesehen habe, der einen Schnabel hatte fast wie die Blätter in dem Muster.

And I was thinking of a journey to Indonesia more than 20 years ago.
But then, when the tile was complete I turned it around and it seemed even better like this.
The Memory of the journey remains.
I once saw a bird there with a beak almost like the leafs in that pattern.

Super Ute, auch die Geschichte dazu. Wie schön, dass du auch noch das Vogel-Foto dazu gefunden hast. Und mit dem Blog hat es jetzt auch geklappt wie ich sehe.
Ja, beim Tanglen kommen so manche Gedanken und manchmal auch Erinnerungen vorbei geschwebt.

Ja, das Muster ist im Buch "Freude mit Zentangle" erschienen. Das Muster stammt von Suzanne McNeill.
